'The Reader: ‘Low-skilled’ migrants who keep London afloat'
'We would just like to point out that if Ms Patel decides to come and have dinner, she may find we have some skills up our sleeves that she might quite enjoy. They are the exact same skills which keep our beloved industry afloat. Without these “low-skilled” workers, hospitality as we know it will come to an end'.

'Het is zomer. In je neusgaten prikkelt het versgemaaide gras. De regenrivier is breed en blijmoedig. Met een oor naar de Maas en met het andere naar de brug gedraad hoor je een lied'.

'Dear Pirit Patel' campaign
'Dear @pritipatelmp - we are your 'low-skilled' workers. We bake your bread, we cook your dinner, we serve your wine. We are from the UK, Europe and beyond. We have chosen this as our career, and we are worth more than just a random number of points. We love this industry, and fear your new plans will be the end of hospitality as we know it'.

'Delicious things take time. Consider, for example, the humble pastry. These little beauties (with a Turkish flourish) have been slowly developing in Selin’s imagination - inspired by her 90-year old Nene in Cyprus, who is a master baker and true legend'.

'I am a Boomerang Kid: a millennial who, after living on her own (at college and beyond) for almost nine years, has ‘boomeranged’ back to her parent’s home. My reason was part financial, part personal. If I am being really honest, there is also a certain kind of ease to the boomerang lifestyle in which bills are paid and the washing machine doesn’t run on quarters'.
'Untold Stories of the East India Company'
'All morning, I have the gaze of strangers on me. The first group of the day, a gaggle of matronly women led by a timid-looking tour guide, stand in front of me while the tour guide talks about portraiture in the eighteenth century. He is nervous, tugging at his green waistcoat and stumbling over long words. The women lose interest. They turn towards me and lean in close, almost toppling over the thin metal wire that is stretched in front of me, and they argue over whether my saree is muslin or silk. Behind them, the tour guide raises his voice and gesticulates wildly in an effort to be heard.'
